Why I Bought a New Phone Just to Save Money

This has been one of the most frustrating weeks that I have had. And it is all because of my mobile phone. A phone is for making calls, in my opinion. It is not a handheld computer that anyone under the age of 25 can operate but ME!  I have had my phone for about 6 years and have learned a thing or two about its capabilities.

However, when I was excited about using it to save money, it let me down. I have found 2 exciting consumer savings tools that I can’t wait to tell you about and I couldn’t even download them because my phone is out of date. As I was trying to download them, the phone kept telling me that I needed to update in order to proceed. Well, I updated Windows, I updated the browser, I cleared the data history, I restarted the phone, and nothing worked. Finally, it dawned on me that the phone itself needed updating. BUMMER!!!

I Bought a New Phone

I really didn’t have a choice. After all, my phone has become an important part of my business. The cellular company did their part in transferring the old data to my new phone. Then came the hard part—making the phone mine.

I don’t think my phone would have survived if ChatGPT hadn’t walked me through the set up. The phone still isn’t completely set up, but it’s ready for the important stuff. I’ve downloaded the shopping apps, I’m already saving money, and I’m excited to share what I’ve discovered with you.

Now that I am in a better position to show and tell about these amazing 2 mobile shopping apps, I will continue with my story.

I won’t deceive you about the shopping apps, you must be a Pro Member of the company, in order to download them. I’ve found that the savings can make the membership worthwhile, depending on how much you shop and which offers you use. My own experience has been very positive, although individual savings will vary.

I saved $109 on my purchase which I will tell you about now.

The retail value of my order was over $150. Thanks to member pricing and a $25 store credit I received for attending a Monday CEO webinar, I paid only $9.66 out of pocket.

The box with the items was secure and the items inside are new and fabulous. About a year ago I bought a pair of Bombas socks to see if the hype was true. It is. Here I got 5 pairs for $8. Now that is what I call saving money.

I detest microfiber sheets. When I saw these 400 thread count sheets for $8 I bought them. Yes, they are Christmas designed. The bedroom has red accents, but that doesn’t matter. The sheets will be covered up by a bedspread.

Now about the shopping apps, they can be used in store or virtual. I do most of my shopping online so that was important to me.  You might be surprised by some of the retailers that participate in these savings programs. Availability and offers can vary, so be sure to check the apps before shopping. Here is a short list:

  • Subway, IHOP, Dominoes, Applebee’s
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shop, Home Depot
  • Good Year, Avis, Take 5
  • Walmart, Amazon, Target

Have I caught your attention? These are places that I shop all the time. You will be given only the places in your area that accept our My Deals App.

Simply open the app before you shop to see the discounts available at participating retailers.

Here’s where the real fun begins.

After you receive your total at checkout, you simply use the Cash Back Rewards app to purchase a gift card for that exact amount. Then you use the gift card to pay for your purchase. It’s quick, easy, and earns you cash back rewards on top of the discounts you’ve already received.

With these two shopping apps, you can receive a discount on your purchase, earn cash back through the gift card purchase, and even earn rewards from the credit card you use to pay for it. That’s what I call smart shopping.

I am always looking for legitimate ways to save money on the things I already buy. These two cash back rewards, have quickly become two of my favorite discoveries. If you’re like me and enjoy keeping more money in your pocket without clipping coupons or chasing sales, I think you’ll want to take 78 seconds and watch the above short video.

Why This Fits Living the Good Life

Living the Good Life isn’t about spending more money. It’s about making smarter choices with the money we already spend. Finding legitimate ways to save money on everyday purchases is exactly the kind of resource I enjoy sharing.
